Kragor the Savage Special Edition #1 Makes It to Round 2 of H.E.R.O.I.C. Awards' People's Choice Awards

Blue Moon Comics' Kragor the Savage Special Edition #1 made it through a close first round of 64 to Round 2's field of 32 in the March Madness-styled People's Choice Awards for H.E.R.O.I.C. Awards' inaugural contest. "With cover art and a 1-page "Snazzy Snak Cakes" faux ad by Best Cover Nominee JW Erwin, short Kragor stories featuring art by Louis Sollune, Ian Groff, David Johnson Jr., Best Line Art Nominee Kent Clark, and Marcello Rosmini, it's definitely one of the most all-around gorgeous books Blue Moon Comics has ever produced," beams writer/publisher Lloyd Smith. "We are thrilled that Kragor the Savage Special Edition #1 has made it through to Round 2 in a field loaded with so many distinguished publications and would like to ask our fans to please continue to support us in this contest. It's a very close contest with less than a 1% margin between competitors, so please take the time to vote for us every day of this round." Round 2 votes can be cast at: HEROIC Awards

Blue Moon Comics also has been nominated four times in several of the professionally juried H.E.R.O.I.C. Awards categories: JW Erwin for Best Cover Art for Kragor Special Edition #1, Kent Clark for Best Line Art for "Chamber of Darkness" in Kragor the Savage Special Edition #1, and David Vance for Best Line Art and Best Lettering for Diversions #12's "Slug-Out in Piedmont!" About those nominations, Smith says, "We at Blue Moon Comics are thrilled to be a part of the debut of this worthy and much-needed event designed to shed light on the incredible work being done by those who produce labor of love after labor of love in the Indie Comics field. Huge thanks to Rick Duree, his team, and his sponsors."
